Most of the diving and snorkeling in Hoi An is done here, and its shallow waters is one of the best places for beginners to learn how to snorkel and scuba dive in Hoi an, as well as Viet Nam. The best diving months are from March to September, local people call it the dry season, the climate is warm and sunny and the ocean water is clear; you can swim, dive or snorkel and you will see a wide variety of small colourful tropical fish and colourful coral. The worst time of the year to dive is mid - October, because it is the rainy season with frequent showers of heavy rain.
Cham Island is such a beautiful place to explore and see incredible sights beneath the water. It is a group of 8 small islands, which has been recognized by UNESCO as the World Biosphere Reserve (Cu Lao Cham Marine Park).
How to get to there? From Cua Dai Beach, it takes about 30 minutes to arrive at Cham island by speed boat. There are also other ways to arrive there, for example, tourists might choose the 45 minutes boat trip instead, especially if you would like to feel like a fisherman enjoying the life at sea. There are many things to do and see on the Cham Islands apart from diving and snorkeling.
