Tourists will be impressed because of the location of My Son - A world heritage site set in a beautiful river valley. The history behind these structures is amazing. According to ancient records Vietnamese people consider My Son as the Ankor Wat of Viet Nam. But other tourists insist that My Son and Ankor Wat are not similar.
My Son itself is a unique beautiful sanctuary of the ancient Cham religion with the temples made out of red bricks. In fact, the former Cham people did not have “ mortar” between the bricks, and tourists wonder how they put the buildings together.
Nowadays, the sanctuary is in bad shape due to the American bombing in the Vietnam War, but the remaining structures can still be seen just as they were originally constructed.
There is a traditional Cham dance performance at the entrance of the site - 2 performances 9:30 am and 11:00 am. The dancing of Cham girls is a spectacular sight and a great photo opportunity. My Son is a must- see place for tourists travelling Viet Nam.
