Hoi an is located 30 km south of Da Nang and 60 km northeast of Tam Ky. Hoi An used to be a international trade centre by sea on the east area in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was the busiest trading port in Dang Trong region of Nguyen dynasty of Viet Nam as merchants from China, India, Holland, Japan, Spain, ect… often stopped over to buy and purchase goods.
Hoi An is located in the world cultural heritage area of central Viet Nam, which has been through a few centuries of history, but still remains as in the every first days of its being born. With attractive strategies came up by Hoi An’s authority, tourists are almost comfortable and excited during travelling in Hoi An. An Bang beach is in Cam An Ward, is 3km to the east of Hoi An. It has been voted one of the 25 top beaches in Asia by travel website Tripadvisor ( also one of the 100 best beaches in the world by travel CNN). Tourist can rent a bike from a variety of retailers in The Old Town and observe some unique sights on the way to An Bang Beach – such as buffalos wading in the rice paddy fields. The friendly farmers will let you take “selfies” with their buffalo! The 4 km long beach is known for its soft sand, gentle waves, and friendly restaurants and beach bars, it is the only VietNamese beach on the tripadvisor list, and it was ranked 16th of the 25 beaches. If you are planning on traveling to Viet Nam country, you must stop by Old Town Hoi An – you will understand why Hoi An ancient town is a beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site.
